The Scope 2 guidance standardises how corporations measure and report emissions from purchased or acquired electricity, steam, heat and cooling, including new requirements to account for emissions from energy contracts and instruments (such as renewable energy certificates) in GHG inventories. This publication is a supplement to the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard, the most widely used standard for corporate greenhouse gas accounting.
The training covers reporting requirements and provides practical examples of how to calculate emissions based on different treaty instruments in different countries. The content is available free of charge to all students who have an account. To receive a certificate of completion, students must enroll in the course from the GHG Protocol Learning Store. Registration costs include the cost of hosting student accounts in the course and updates to our Learning Management System (LMS). (More on ghgprotocol.lambdalearn.net)
