In connection with air quality, the Trnava Autonomous Region (hereinafter TTSK) is one of the less problematic areas, as the air quality here is not significantly influenced by large local sources of pollution. At the same time, better air compared to the rest of Slovakia is also ensured by nature itself. The advantages are the rugged terrain, windiness of the area, average annual temperature, and less frequent inversions. However, the rate of use of individual automobile transport is constantly increasing and the heating of households with solid fuel is also increasing in connection with the recent energy crisis. It has affected the countries of the European Union, including Slovakia, which is beginning to be reflected mainly in the increase in the consumption of firewood and, unfortunately, also in the burning of waste.
