Analysis shows that Slovakia can move the energy recovery of waste, the use of geothermal energy and the development of green infrastructure towards climate neutrality. You can't see them, you can't feel them, but they can play an important role in decarbonization. "Avoided emissions" represent emissions that can be prevented by using more ecological products and services. The analysis of the GreenTalk agency, whose authors are the analyst Ján Janošovský and the vice president of the Association for Green Roofs and Green Infrastructure Ján Rapan, brings three examples of decarbonization projects. According to calculations, they can help Slovakia by preventing the creation of almost 2.5 million tons of emissions, which is comparable to the annual operation of two million passenger cars.
