Climate risk assessments, which take into account threats such as heat waves, droughts, floods and fires, are increasingly being used to inform and improve national adaptation policies, according to the recently published second assessment of EU member states' national adaptation measures. EEA Briefing "Is Europe on the Road to Resilience to Climate Change?" Status of notified national adaptation measures in 2023" represents the current status of national adaptation policies. They are based on the findings of a technical paper produced by the European Topic Center on Adaptation to Climate Change (ETC) and on information provided under the EU Governance Regulation (Article 17 and Article 19).
