The Castilla y Leon Natural Heritage Foundation has developed a climate change adaptation programme for public schools together with the regional ministries of the environment and education of the Junta de Castilla y Leon in Spain. Funded by the “Recovery of Cohesion and Territoriality in Europe” (REACT-EU), this programme supports awareness and implementation of climate change adaptation measures in outdoor spaces of educational centres through actions based on nature-based solutions. The evaluation committee recently selected 65 applications.
