Companies should abandon environmental claims based on offsets and instead adopt a "climate contribution" model under the new quality standard. In the new code of practice  Voluntary Carbon Markets Integrity Initiative (VCMI) has published guidance on how companies should use carbon credits as part of high-quality corporate actions.
