The INTERPRAEVENT conference is a professional congress in the field of preventive protection against natural disasters. The first conference was held in 1967 in Austria. Since 2000, the conference has been held every two years, alternating between Europe and the Pacific region. Thanks to the interdisciplinary approach, the congress has always connected research and practice. It provides a platform for intensive professional discussion on the latest developments and scientific work in the field of natural risk prevention. Part of the oral presentations is also the awarding of the students. In addition, the conference offers a poster exhibition and excursions on various topics in the field of natural hazards and risk management around Vienna. The exchange of ideas, knowledge and experience is a key value of INTERPRAEVENT. In 2024, the international conference will be held for the ninth time in Austria and for the first time in Vienna. INTERPRAEVENT 2024 takes place from 10 to 13 June 2024 at the Hofburg Conference Center Vienna .
