On Monday, April 22, the world will commemorate Earth Day, which aims to raise awareness of environmental issues such as climate change, pollution, nature conservation and endangered species, as well as support for ecological and sustainable practices. This year's theme of Earth Day is Planet vs. Plastic, which highlights the global problem of plastic waste. It also encourages participation in various activities to protect the environment. The Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic is preparing a number of environmental activities for the public as part of Earth Day and in cooperation with sectoral organizations.
