As part of this initiative, the European Commission is called to introduce a European tax on the great wealth. This tax would be a contribution to the Union's own resources, while the revenues from it, when co-financed by the member states, would make it possible to strengthen and stabilize European policies in the field of environmental and social transformation, as well as development cooperation. This contribution would be focused on the fight against climate change and inequalities, while allowing a fairer participation of European citizens in the fulfillment of these goals.
