Denmark's first CO2 storage tank is now ready to receive a large amount of CO2

The 23 partners behind the Greensand project have now submitted the final report of the pilot project, which aims to develop, test and demonstrate safe and efficient CO2 storage in the North Sea's subsurface area. The results of the EUDP-supported work in the consortium behind the pilot phase of the Greensand project are thus ready.

Thorough technical verification ensures that the stored CO2 remains safely and permanently in the Nini West closed reservoir 1,800 meters below the North Sea seabed, as expected. This is clear after the results of the Greensand project were verified by the independent and leading global provider of risk, verification and standardization services, DNV.
