EU New tool aims to standardize carbon measurement

A new tool has been developed to help property owners measure and reduce the carbon footprint of their buildings across Europe. Called the Carbon Risk Real Estate Monitor (CRREM), the tool aims to standardize the assessment of carbon emissions in buildings and provide a roadmap to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. The tool is based on the latest scientific data and is in line with the Paris Agreement and the Green Deal EU. CRREM is supported by a consortium of leading real estate organizations including GRESB, INREV, RICS and others. The tool is available for free on the CRREM website.
