The Earth’s climate has fluctuated countless times over the past 800,000 years (NRDC, 2021). It is a problem that has proven almost impossible to confront due to the lack of effectiveness of various methods and solutions. This remains one of the major global problems, as it has drastic effects on every community in the world in one way or another. The shocking impact is that large numbers of people are being displaced from their homes due to climate disasters that have made it difficult for them to live due to the loss of their homes and livelihoods, leaving them with no other option. These people are “climate refugees”. There are many factors that lead to forced migration. Journalist Olivia Giovetti identified the following as the most common: war, political unrest, the expulsion of ethnic minorities and climate change caused disasters. OCHA services stated that the latter are the most common due to the increase in natural disasters. The World Bank warns that there will be about 200 million climate refugees by 2050. (Wafa Batool)
