Within the framework of the Belgian Presidency of the European Council of Ministers for the Environment and Climate, Wallonia and the Climate Chance association are organising a climate stakeholders meeting in Liège on 8 and 9 February 2024. This event will have the main theme of "Climate adaptation, natural solutions and resilience" and will offer several activities to highlight and discuss concrete solutions to achieve the objectives of the European Green Deal. Summit Climate Chance Europe 2024. The aim of this meeting will be to reach an ambitious "Liège Declaration" for the environment and climate. Wallonia will thus contribute to facilitating inclusive and participatory work with a view to a renewed European Green Deal after 2024. A Green Deal that will notably strengthen European and cross-border coordination between all actors in the field of adaptation to climate change and other environmental risks. On this occasion, climate stakeholders, including local authorities and territories, are invited to submit their initiatives and projects via a form. Selected actions can be presented by their supporters in Pitch Corner, which is the space at the heart of the action. In addition, they will also be published in an action mapping that lists good practices and climate initiatives around the world.
