Current global climate policies are not bold enough to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. This is one of the findings of the latest scenario update from the Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS). This network of central bankers and bank supervisors, together with leading academic climate institutions, has developed analytical toolkit to assess what our economies might look like under different climate policy paths. These are called "climate scenarios". The latest results are alarming and point to a worse economic impact of climate change than originally assumed .
