Destination Earth is a flagship initiative of the European Commission and a cornerstone to support Europe's digital capacity and action on climate change. It aims to model, monitor and simulate natural phenomena, hazards and related human activities. Implemented by ECMWF, ESA and EUMETSAT and managed by DG CNECT, Destination Earth is working to create two digital twins of the Earth: Climate Change Adaptation and Weather Extremes. These groundbreaking interactive features will help users design accurate and actionable adaptation strategies and mitigation measures. This new website provides information on the development process and the timeline.
