The European Commission has adopted a new set of guidelines to help Member States update and implement comprehensive national adaptation strategies, plans and policies. The guidelines are in line with European climate law and the EU Strategy on Adaptation to Climate Change and can help improve preparations for the reality of rapidly intensifying climate change impacts. They introduce new themes and policy areas to consider in policy-making to ensure better outcomes, such as nature-based solutions and equitable resilience.
