Students are hungry for updated climate science education – and a sensitive approach to that education is essential to keeping your students’ mental health afloat. In March student activists from across the country co-authored two resolutions on climate change, which were then introduced in Congress by Representatives Mike Thompson and Barbara Lee, both California Democrats. While these resolutions are unlikely to pass in the Republican-dominated House, the resolutions address a pressing concern for many young people: increasing youth access to climate science education while supporting their well-being through the mental health challenges that climate change can bring.
