Nobel Prize-winning economist Esther Duflo has warned that death rates in poor countries could rise sharply as a result of climate change caused by rich countries. Duflo calls for the introduction of a global tax. It said the continued impact of climate change would increase by 73 deaths per 100,000 people by the end of the century.
