Carbon footprint represents the amount of greenhouse gas emissions that are related to everyday activities, consumption or production of products and contribute to climate change. Simply put, the carbon footprint shows how much impact we ourselves or the products we buy and use have on the environment. Most often, it is the amount of emissions of substances (CO₂) or similar substances.
Each of us has our own carbon footprint, whether it's driving a car, buying new clothes, or eating a meal like a hamburger. Every thing we buy has more than just a price tag – it also has a carbon footprint behind it.
