Understanding time may be key to the race against climate change

Something has to change. Politicians and environmental organizations have invested millions to influence people's behavior and they solved the climate crisis . But it's not working. No G20 country is on track to meeting its climate goalsInstead researchers focus their attention on the connection between people's perception of time and the action they take on climate change. One of the main areas, which researchers are investigating, it's how people interpret the vast timescales needed to understand climate change.
