IPCC stated that the world must remove 10 billion tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere by 2050 to avoid a climate cataclysm. And yes, there are multiple methods of carbon removal today, such as planting more trees (afforestation), sequestering CO ₂ from the sky (direct air capture) and expansion of CO absorbing rock ₂ to agricultural land ("increased weathering"). . However, it is generally accepted that none of these methods alone will solve the carbon problem and that the carbon removal industry is a nascent industry and often full of fraud and messy reporting, to put it mildly.
