How climate technologies can support national climate plans

UN Climate News, April 19, 2023 – As climate change accelerates and time to decarbonize societies and build resilience is running out, technologies that can significantly move the needle in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and helping societies adapt are urgently needed. To this end, the UNFCCC Technology Mechanism met last month in Songdo, Republic of Korea, to discuss the implementation of a new work program. The programme focuses on high-potential sectors and high-impact actions for innovation, development and transfer of transformative technologies, from renewable energy to sustainable transport, combined with effective policies.
