Carbon Dioxide: The Global Warming Challenge

FROM In the eighteenth century, human activity was the main driver of global warming, primarily due to the burning of fossil fuels (non-renewable energy sources) such as coal, natural gas, oil, etc. Research by the United Nations (UN) shows that burning fuel creates greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, which act like a blanket wrapped around the Earth, trapping the sun's heat and raising the temperature. And the main greenhouse gases that cause this global warming include, among others, carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) and methane (CH 4 ). However, the above gases came from using gasoline to power a car or coal to heat a building. Land clearing and clearing of the world's forests (deforestation) can also release carbon dioxide. As the largest contributor to global warming, fossil fuels account for more than seventy-five percent (75 %) of greenhouse gas emissions and nearly ninety percent (90 %) of all carbon dioxide emissions, meaning the world is warming faster than ever before. point in history and higher temperature over time alters weather patterns and disrupts nature's usual balance. Think of a problem facing the world today that poses a threat to human beings and other life forms on Earth; " We simply must do everything we can to slow down global warming before it's too late… ", said former American politician Arnold Schwarzenegger.
