Internal displacement is not an option for them, as the entire country is in danger of being submerged. The importance of the issue may be demonstrated by the fact that the Tuvaluan government is considering suing Australia and the United States for their contribution to climate change. As a result, it is the world's lowest-lying nation and is most vulnerable to climate impacts, even though its contribution to greenhouse gas emissions is negligible compared to those two wealthy nations.
