According to a survey, climate fear has increased among children and parents due to the increasing more frequent extreme weather events , as they are floods and heat waves. The survey, conducted by Opinion Matters on behalf of Save The Children, asked 1,000 children aged 9 to 17 and 2,003 parents aged over 18 in the UK about their concerns about climate change. It found that 73 percent of children and 77 percent of adults who responded to the survey said they were concerned about the impact of climate change on the younger generation. Meanwhile, 69 percent of children and 72 percent of parents thought their level of climate concern had increased significantly due to extreme weather events over the past few years.
