Carbon footprint of investors by sector

The following table breaks down greenhouse gas emissions for each sector by scale. The sector's carbon footprint is expressed in metric tons of CO2 equivalent for every $1 million in funding. In other words, we report how much of a climate impact a $1 million investment has in each of the following sectors. The total number represents the weighted average of the carbon emissions of the individual components of each sector as of August 10, 2023 (Dorothy Neufeldová)
