THE DEPARTMENT RAISES HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS' AWARENESS OF CLIMATE PROBLEMS

With high school students back in the classroom and building on the success of the previous year, climate awareness activities are returning to Nivernais facilities. They will enable the citizens of tomorrow to better understand the challenges of the ecological transition and to open up to other horizons. FROMthe elected representatives of the departmental majority did not hesitate for a second to renew the program of activities to increase the awareness of high school students about climate issues. A for good reason! Last year, almost 900 students used this system through 17 activities offered on a number of subjects (food, waste, energy, biodiversity, climate, civic engagement, etc.). This first successful edition rewards the joint work between the different departments of the department and the partners, which made it possible to mobilize the universities around different educational resources. By continuing the implementation of the Climate Change Adaptation Strategy, the Board of the Department has set itself the goal of further supporting teachers through approximately twenty activities for this new school year. Seven new products will enrich the 2023-2024 catalog.
