The aim of the new challenges within the klimaTYzuj campaign is to realize that climate change is here and now. Every day we affect her and she affects us, so it's time to act. There are 10 topics and 10 challenges waiting for those interested, which will be gradually revealed on the first day of the month, from September 2023 to June 2024. It is possible to participate in each challenge only once. After the end of a specific challenge, each registrant is included in a monthly draw for valuable prizes, and the more challenges they complete, the better chance they will have in the final draw in July after the end of the campaign. The September theme from the klimaTYzuj campaign is devoted to the climate of our planet and its warming. We feel this warming almost every day. We humans have a wide selection of ways to cool down. We have a cold drink, ice cream, refresh ourselves with a bath in cold water, hide in the shade of a tree, take off our clothes, or turn on the air conditioner (which consumes energy and is not environmentally friendly). Our planet cannot choose any of these options. However, it has its own natural regulatory mechanisms for cooling, which literally work like an air conditioner. They know how to lower or raise the temperature. This is, for example, the natural greenhouse effect, the carbon cycle in living and non-living nature, or the ability of forests to absorb carbon dioxide. Trees are among the most effective helpers in the fight against climate change and have many functions. In addition to the aesthetic, they affect the local microclimate, absorb carbon dioxide (an adult tree can absorb up to 150 kg of CO₂ per year), they filter pollutants in the air, provide shade, retain water in the landscape, strengthen the soil and much more. Trees need to be protected and cared for.
