Vacuuming planet-warming carbon dioxide from the atmosphere won't reverse all the effects of climate change, new research says. Carbon dioxide removal, as it's called, may sound like science fiction—but many companies are already counting on repairing some of the damage caused by their pollution.Companies can try to avoid greenhouse gas emissions altogether. or they can try to clean them. That's why we see all kinds of brands, from Microsoft to the Houston Texans , saying they'll plant trees or invest in new technologies to filter CO2 from the air. But even if they are successful in capturing CO2, will it reverse the consequences of creating this pollution in the first place? (Justine Calma)
