The international community must look at ways to introduce global carbon pricing to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said at a summit in Paris on Thursday. Von der Leyen also said the world needs to expand greenhouse gas emissions covered by a carbon price to support the energy transition, describing the current percentage of emissions covered by the price as "almost nothing."
