According to UNICEF, one billion people face young people extremely high climate-related risks. But according to the Children's Environmental Rights Initiative (CERI), these children are largely ignored. The organization – a coalition that includes Plan International, Save the Children and UNICEF – examined key international climate funds to see if they take children into account. They found that only 2.4 percent of multilateral climate  funds (MCF) – at around $1.2 billion (€1.09 billion) – did so at a satisfactory level.
