GENEVA: The Swiss, feeling the effects of global warming on their fast-melting glaciers, voted on Sunday on a new climate law that aims to steer the country towards carbon neutrality by 2050. Recent opinion polls suggest strong support for the proposed law, which would required it to reduce its dependence on imported oil and gas and increase the development and use of greener and domestic alternatives.
