New environmental group aims to advance climate change

Climate Shift is a great name for a recently launched campaign backed by 30 environmental groups. That’s a lot of people urging the government to change its focus on meeting the fast-disappearing 1.5C climate target. It’s a 10-point climate action plan driven by three themes – achieving real emissions reductions, supporting frontline communities, and restoring and regenerating nature. It was launched by Greenpeace, Forest & Bird and Oxfam. (Pat Baskett)
