Poland recorded the largest decrease in emissions in the EU in 2022

According to new data from the European Environment Agency (EEA), Poland saw the largest overall drop in emissions in the EU last year, producing nearly 8 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent less than in 2021. But in proportional terms, Poland's decline, although above the EU average, was not among the highest in the block.EEA data from its Emissions Trading System (ETS) show that Poland had 184.15 million tonnes of verified emissions from all stationary installations in 2022, down 7.89 million tonnes from the year before.
