The decree banning domestic flights when a train journey of less than 2.30 hours is possible was published on Tuesday in the Official Journal. The symbolic provision of the 2021 Climate Law, which is the cancellation of domestic flights when a train journey of less than 2.30 hours is possible, has now been enacted. The measure, which has been given the green light by the European Commission and the Council of State, is the subject of a decree published on Tuesday in the Official Journal. “Regular public passenger air transport services prohibited by Article L.6412-3 of the Transport Code are those for which a replaceable rail connection ensures a journey of less than two and a half hours in each direction (…)”, the text specifies.
