The Greenhouse Gas Protocol continues to provide the world&#039;s most widely used accounting standards for greenhouse gases and is developing its governance to further strengthen the credibility and integrity of these standards. The transformation comes as the Greenhouse Gas Protocol seeks to recruit members for its new steering committee and independent standards committees, as well as express interest in membership of technical working groups.<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/nav>\n<\/header>\n<div id=\"main-wrapper\" class=\"layout-main-wrapper clearfix\">\n<div id=\"main\" class=\"container\">\n<div class=\"row row-offcanvas row-offcanvas-left clearfix\"><main id=\"content\" class=\"main-content col order-last\" role=\"main\"><\/p>\n<section class=\"section\">\n<div id=\"block-provus-bootstrap-content\" class=\"system-main-block block block-system block-system-main-block\">\n<div class=\"content\">\n<article class=\"node node--type-provus-blog node--view-mode-full clearfix\" role=\"article\" data-history-node-id=\"1850\">\n<div class=\"node__content clearfix\">\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"region-main col-md-8\">\n<div class=\"region-first\">\n<div class=\"field-blocknodeprovus-blogbody block block-layout-builder block-field-blocknodeprovus-blogbody\">\n<div class=\"content\">\n<div class=\"clearfix text-formatted field field--name-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field__item\">\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><span>This management restructuring is part of the overall strategy update of the Protocol on Greenhouse Gases. In May 2022, he initiated the protocol on greenhouse gases\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><strong><span>strategy and organization review process<\/span><\/strong><\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><span>\u00a0including soliciting feedback from various stakeholders. This feedback requires a more formalized governance process and increased transparency and speed of standards creation.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><span>As part of the new structure, he will now oversee organizational management\u00a0<\/span><strong><span>steering committee<\/span><\/strong><span>\u00a0, which will provide strategic guidance on the goals and direction of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. This authority will approve\u00a0<\/span><span>mission, vision, strategy and rules of procedure of the Protocol on Greenhouse Gases, appoint members to the Independent Standards Board, provide oversight of the Independent Standards Board and ratify its decisions.
