Climate education helps people understand and address the consequences of the climate crisis, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, values and attitudes needed to act as agents of change. The international community recognizes the importance of education and training in addressing climate change. The UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Paris Agreement and the related Action for Climate Empowerment (ACE) agenda call on governments to educate, empower and engage all stakeholders and major groups in climate change policies and actions.<\/p>\n<p><span>UNESCO and the UNFCCC are launching a series of talks on climate change education for social transformation from May to December 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unesco.org\/en\/education-sustainable-development\/cop28-cce-webinars\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span>Webinars on the way to COP28<\/span><\/strong><\/a><br \/>\n<span>organized from May to December 2023<\/span><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unesco.org\/en\/education-sustainable-development\/cce-social-transformation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span>Webinars on the way to COP27<\/span><\/strong><\/a><span>\u00a0organized from April to November 2022<\/span><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Education is key to supporting climate action.
