This should help increase their use, build trust with stakeholders and industry and combat greenwashing. MEPs stress that the system must comply with international standards and that an &quot;EU register&quot; must be set up to ensure transparency, provide information to the public and avoid the risk of fraud and double counting of carbon removals.
