Natural solutions for climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction also contribute to the EU&#039;s nature restoration program to better protect and restore biodiversity. If used on a large scale, they can contribute to and improve a variety of climate and environmental goals in both urban and rural areas.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"other-key-findings\" data-block=\"60bc3d45-2dd2-4dd7-ba0d-57187bd8643d\">Other key findings<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"ui bulleted list\" role=\"list\">\n<li class=\"\" role=\"listitem\">More insight is needed into the enablers of local success and barriers to scaling up. This requires systematic monitoring, reporting and evaluation schemes to inform the long-term effectiveness and efficiency of nature-based solutions.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" role=\"listitem\">The costs and benefits of natural solutions must be clear to stakeholders and potential investors. Although they serve multiple purposes, quantification of social and economic aspects, including the distribution of costs and benefits among stakeholders, is still limited.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" role=\"listitem\">To realize the full potential of nature-based solutions, further targeted management and coordination would be necessary.
