It comes a year after\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span>COP27<\/span><span>\u00a0, hosted by Sharm El-Sheikh, and two years after COP26 in Glasgow. This year&#039;s edition, which will be held in\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><strong><span>Dubai<\/span><\/strong><span>\u00a0\u00a0in the United Arab Emirates, is returning to the Middle East after COP 18 in Doha, Qatar in 2012. The choice of the Emirates as host country immediately raised some doubts, given that they are among the world&#039;s top 10 oil and gas exporters.
