When it comes to climate change, many cities no longer have a polar bear swimming on a melting iceberg, nor more severe storms or flooding, nor rising sea levels or wildfires. For low-income people in particular, the main concern about the impacts of climate change is heat, according to Jane Gilbert, the first global director of heat (CHO), who serves in the role for Miami-Dade County.
