That&#039;s more than 50 percent higher than the previous range estimate.\u00a0 <\/span><span>Modeled adaptation costs in developing countries are estimated at US$215 billion per year this decade. Adaptation financing needed to implement domestic adaptation priorities is estimated at $387 billion per year. \u00a0<\/span><span>Despite these needs, public multilateral and bilateral adaptation finance flows to developing countries were reduced by 15 percent to $21 billion in 2021. Due to increasing adaptation financing needs and weakening flows, the current adaptation financing gap is now estimated at US$194. -366 billion per year. At the same time, adaptation planning and implementation seem to be stagnating.
