Emissions of carbon and other greenhouse gases tip the scale, and the goal of net zero is to bring the scale back into balance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Achieving this balance requires two things.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span>Reduction of emissions released from human activity closer to zero.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Eliminating emissions that are difficult to reduce.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span>Achieving net zero means we can still create some emissions. But as long as they are offset by initiatives that reduce GHGs already in the atmosphere. <\/span><span>There are a number\u00a0<\/span><span>carbon removal solutions and technologies,<\/span><span> which are developed to absorb CO2 from the air and store it.\u00a0<\/span><span>So reducing and eliminating emissions is net zero in the global race.
