This phenomenon affects most of the spruce forests in our region. These trees are completely dried out. The cause: successive droughts in recent years have encouraged the development of a small parasite: the bark beetle. It gnaws into a tree already weakened by water stress, develops under the bark and causes it to die in just a few weeks. Almost the entire population is affected. Then only one solution is needed: culling. This parasite only affects spruces.
