The risks of malnutrition, infectious disease transmission and trauma are increasing. Rising healthcare costs could exacerbate poverty. Solutions to reduce emissions also offer health benefits. Climate change is a major threat to human health. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that between 2030 and 2050,\u00a0 250,000 more deaths annually<\/strong> \u00a0malaria, diarrhoea, heat waves and malnutrition due to climate change, and the health-related costs could amount to two to four billion dollars a year by 2030. It is increasingly clear that human health and well-being are closely linked to the health of the environment and animals. To address health risks, it is therefore necessary to adopt a One Health approach, which involves the integration of different disciplines in order to ensure global health. Italy is also slowly moving in this direction: last June 22, the parliamentary intergroup "One Health" was presented in the Chamber. The aim of the intergroup is to define, by the end of the legislative term, measures to introduce a governance model that overcomes the current fragmentation of policies relating to the environment, human health and animals.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/header>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
