The impact of a given system on a filler&#039;s carbon footprint can now be measured in numbers using calculation tools developed in collaboration with independent experts. The systems supplier thus provides the beverage industry with a reliable guide when planning machine conversions and transitioning to a sustainable portfolio. <\/span><span>With this new tool, KHS is adding another component to its holistic packaging services. In cooperation with the Hamburg Institute for Environmental IT (\u00a0<\/span><span>if<\/span><span>\u00a0), a leading independent international software developer for material and energy flow analyses, the system provider from Dortmund clearly shows its customers what packaging style has what impact on the climate and whether or not a conversion for, for example, a stretch blow molder has a positive impact on their carbon footprint. In addition to the economy and efficiency of beverage production, the KHS agenda focuses primarily on reducing the ecological footprint.
