Climate change is a serious problem facing our planet. We can all do our part to help reduce our emissions and slow climate change. Here are five things you can do today to reduce your carbon footprint:<\/p>\n

  1. Check your air conditioning. Every setting on your AC thermostat has an impact on your environmental footprint. Do you really need to live in arctic temperatures? Invest in a dehumidifier because it's often the humidity that's unbearable, not just the heat.<\/li>\n
  2. Choose the right water bottle. Buy a stainless steel or glass water bottle that you can refill. If you are worried about drinking tap water, there are a number of filters on the market that can help.<\/li>\n
  3. Limit fizzy drinks. Soft drinks have a big impact on the environment, so cutting back will not only help save the planet, but also encourage you to drink more healthy alternatives like water.<\/li>\n
  4. Turn off the faucet. Be careful how you use water. Do not leave the faucet running while brushing your teeth and try to take shorter showers - this affects our environment.<\/li>\n
  5. Do not leave the lights on. Same as above. A simple behavior like turning off the lights when you're not in the room can make a huge difference. Take it even further with the occasional use of candles. Romance and environmental awareness are winning traits.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
