More than half think that the transition to a green economy should be accelerated (58 %) given the sharp rise in energy prices and concerns about gas supplies following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. From an economic perspective, 73 % Europeans agree that the cost of climate change damages is much higher than the investment needed for the green transition.
