This is a clear demonstration of the EU&#039;s commitment and leadership.<\/p>\n<p>The new EU NDC, which will now be submitted to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), aims to:<strong>\u00a0reduce net greenhouse gas emissions by 66.25-72.5 % by 2035 compared to 1990 levels,\u00a0<\/strong>covering all sectors of the economy and all greenhouse gases. This is an ambitious milestone on the path to a net reduction of 90 % by 2040 compared to 1990 levels, leading to the EU achieving climate neutrality by 2050.
