EARTHDAY.ORG calls on individuals, communities, businesses, and governments to join forces to accelerate the transition to renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, and tidal power.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>\ud83d\udce2 Global actions and protests<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>From community cleanups and tree plantings to mass protests demanding climate justice, young activists, inspired by the Fridays for Future movement, are organizing climate strikes and discussions to raise awareness about the climate crisis.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>\u26a0\ufe0f Climate reality: time is running out<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the world is on track to warm by 3.2\u00b0C above pre-industrial levels by 2100 unless immediate action is taken to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
